Redding City Council To Discuss Increased Elections Costs After Dominion Cancellation

The Redding City Council will consider writing a letter to the Shasta County Board of Supervisors about the increased cost of elections. Due to the supervisors’ decision to abandon a contract with Dominion Election Systems and opt for all manual counting, the estimated cost to the City of Redding would be nearly quadrupled. At Tuesday nights meeting, the council will vote on whether to address the concerns with the county.
