Revised 2nd Amendment Resolution Approved By County Supervisors

Shasta County Supervisors have approved a resolution that was rejected in the past concerning the Second Amendment to the Constitution. The resolution was drafted by the California Rifle and Pistol Association. The revision includes minor rephrasing for actions by the board, saying that they “may” rather than they “shall”. It’s still a highly politically charged document that was loudly supported by some and derided by others. The resolution cites several pro-gun court rulings and includes derisive wording about the Governor and Legislature., but it does not make any directives for county action.
