Man Who Led Authorities On Two High Speed Pursuits Sentenced To Prison

A man has been sentenced for two separate high speed pursuits in Tehama County. Augustine Corona was chased in a stolen car by Corning Police. He outran them and officers lost sight of him, but he crashed into a tree and fled on foot, leaving behind proof of his identity. Another time, Tehama County Deputies saw Corona driving a pickup and knew he had warrants so they tried to stop him but he fled onto I-5 at over 100 miles an hour, then through Gerber before the chase ended in an orchard. Corona has been sentenced to 3 years 8 months in prison.
