Woman Who Punched Neighbor After Confrontation About Smoking Pot Sentenced

A Corning woman has been sentenced for a violent defense of her right to smoke pot. 41-year-old Gabriela Gil, who was arrested in June, was a next-door neighbor of the victim at an apartment complex. The victim had asked Gil not to smoke Marijuana in front of the victim’s front door. Gil reacted by grabbing the woman by the hair through her partially open door and punching her multiple times, causing the victim to drop her small child. Gil has been sentenced to 6 months in county jail and 2 years probation.
