A Weaverville man was attacked with a hatchet Monday. At around 6AM the attacker broke into the victim’s home and assaulted him with the hatchet. The victim was transported to a Redding hospital while Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies and the CHP searched for the assailant, identified as Corben Wayne Page, who had last been seen in the Red Bud Road area. Page was finally found on Main Street in Weaverville at 3:45PM in the afternoon, and he was booked into jail for attempted murder and other charges.
