Man Airlifted To UC Davis Burn Center After Trailer Fire In French Gulch

A French Gulch man was badly burned Tuesday. At around 9:45AM, Cal-Fire/Shasta County Fire crews were dispatched to Tailings Road off Cline Gulch in French Gulch. A large smoke column was billowing from a fully involved travel trailer. One patient was transported by air ambulance with major burns over 25% of his upper body. The 60-year-old man was taken directly to UC Davis Burn Center. It took about an hour to fully extinguish the fire and the trailer was completely destroyed. The cause is not known.
