It’s not the best idea to shoplift when the other pocket has a bag of drugs in it. On Tuesday Redding Police stopped a motorcyclist for a violation while leaving the Dollar General on Lake Boulevard. Michael Martinez was patted down after informing officers that he had a weapon. A knife was reportedly found, along with an unopened package of pens that had apparently just been stolen. Police say they also found a Quarter Ounce of Methamphetamine. Martinez was arrested for petty theft and drug possession.
