A lot of smoke will be seen Wednesday and Thursday from a large prescribed burn project in South Redding. Close to 900 acres is being torched during a three day vegetation management project on the McConnell Foundation’s Gore Ranch Property, located west of the Westwood Village Subdivision off Highway 273 and north of Clear Creek Road. The project started Tuesday with a 40 acre burn, Wednesday and Thursday Cal-Fire, with help from Redding Fire Department, will burn 400 acres each day.
