Crews Reach 60% Containment On Hidden Fire, Battle Separate Mobile Home Fire Monday

Evacuation orders have been reduced to warnings on the fire in Jones Valley. Forward progress on the Hidden Fire was stopped at 45 acres. Cal-Fire reported Tuesday morning the fire is 60% contained, and crews have begun mop-up operations and strengthening control lines. The traffic control point on Dry Creek Road has been removed. Residents in the area are advised to use caution in the next few days as emergency vehicles continue to move around.

An unrelated fire destroyed a home in Jones Valley. Located on Elk Trail East, the double-wide mobile home was fully involved in fire that was starting to spread to vegetation when firefighters arrived shortly after Noon Monday. The occupants and their pets made it out safely.
