Sites Fire Rages In Colusa County, Crews Fight Multiple Small Fires Wednesday In Tehama County

A large fire in Colusa County has grown to more than 19,000 acres with just 10% containment. The Sites Fire southeast of Stonyford started Monday in high winds and is mostly burning in tall grass and brush. A number of nearby residents are under evacuation orders.

The Hidden Fire in Jones Valley is 100% contained. It burned 45 acres with no structural damage.

On Wednesday in Tehama County there was a quarter acre fire in Richvale next to the railroad tracks.

1.5 acres of vegetation burned in Vina just off Highway 99 across the street from the Vina Cal-Fire Helitack Station.

An early morning fire at Dog Island Park in Red Bluff started near homeless camps and was held to about a quarter acre.

Early Wednesday morning there were 13 small roadside fires in Siskiyou County between Montague and Grenada. Cal-Fire chased them all down and determined they were caused by small pieces of molten material from a disintegrating Catalytic Convertor.
