Cal-Fire Urges Caution As Crews Have Responded To Multiple Fires Sparked By Farm Equipment

Cal-Fire officials in Siskiyou County say they’ve responded for multiple fires sparked by farm equipment already this season. On Wednesday a barn, a travel trailer and almost two acres of thick weeds and grasses burned at a location off Old Highway 99. One civilian was treated for smoke inhalation. The fire was determined to have been started from a lawn mower.

A fire in a remote area north of Clear Lake in Modoc County has burned 700 acres, with just 10% containment.
