Corning Police took a stabbing suspect into custody after a struggle. Tuesday afternoon a man at the Olive Grove Apartments on Fig Lane called 911 suffering from a knife wound to his neck under his chin. He told arriving officers he was attacked while walking home from a grocery store. He was transported to Enloe Hospital in Chico after identifying his attacker as an acquaintance, 28-year-old Malakki Stephen Andre Wilson. Other tenants of the apartments told officers that Wilson was walking in an orchard next to the apartment complex. when officers approached him he reportedly became combative and fought with them until he was eventually taken into custody with the use of a Taser. One officer suffered a minor injury from being kicked. Wilson was booked into jail on more than a Million Dollars bail.
