Redding City Council To Vote On 2nd Amendment Resolution On Tuesday

Following repeated debates by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors concerning a purely symbolic resolution in support of the Second Amendment, the Redding City Council will vote Tuesday on their own, similar, resolution. Apparently drafted at the direction of Mayor Tenessa Audette, the resolution cites what it calls unconstitutional laws passed by the State Legislature and supported by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court. The resolution has no power, but merely restates adherence to the U.S. Constitution as already sworn by council members and all other elected officials.
