The Fairgrounds in Anderson will be abuzz Friday with more than a Thousand Freshman students of dozens of different high schools from all over Northern California. They’ll be there for the 11th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Career Day. “STEM”-related jobs are growing at a rate more than four times that of other jobs, with a median salary far above most non-stem related jobs. This year’s event will focus on medical technologies. During the event, students will see presentations from dozens of businesses and colleges teaching them the skills they need.
