A large prescribed burn is planned for Wednesday in the Igo area. The Lower Gas Point Management Project continues on private property around the Veterans Cemetery on Gas Point Road. Cal-Fire crews will be eliminating fuels to reduce the danger of future wildfires and provide live fire training for new firefighters. If conditions are right, 180 acres will be torched starting at 8AM.
