2 Cited At DUI Checkpoint In Cottonwood On Friday Evening

A sobriety checkpoint was conducted by the California Highway Patrol Friday evening on Main Street in Cottonwood. More than 300 drivers were screened through the checkpoint. 2 of them were cited for driving on a suspended license. No drunk drivers were caught, but just after the checkpoint ended an officer stopped a car for weaving on northbound I-5 and the driver was arrested for DUI.
