Protesters against the military campaign being waged by Israel in Gaza have been taking action on college campuses across the country, and Cal Poly Humboldt is among them. The university campus was closed Tuesday and will remain closed Wednesday as an unknown number of students have taken occupation of Siemens Hall, a large building on campus that contains classrooms and administrative offices. The entrance is barricaded with furniture. Three protesters were arrested Tuesday after a confrontation with police, but they’ve since been released from custody. University officials say they support free speech but will not tolerate endangering people, destroying property and disrupting the campus.
