A major injury crash closed Highway 44 west of Shingletown early Monday morning. Just after 2AM just west of Ponderosa Way a Chevy Suburban collided with a Honda. The Suburban rolled over several times and caught fire. The big SUV became fully engulfed in flames and in pieces. At least 3 patients were identified, one of them having possibly been ejected during the rollover. One-way traffic control was started shortly before 5 O’clock and the highway has apparently been cleared and reopened.
