3 Young Teens Injured In Reported DUI Crash In South Redding

A car crash involving alcohol in South Redding early Sunday morning injured the three teenage occupants, none of them old enough to drive. At 5:30AM an iPhone crash detection alert was received by 9-1-1 dispatchers, sending Redding Police to Eastside Road near the northern end where it curves slightly. A Toyota Camry had left the roadway and three 14-year-old girls had sustained moderate to severe injuries. They were taken away by ambulance. Police say alcohol and Marijuana were factors in the crash.
