300 Acre Controlled Burn Planned For Wednesday Near Dairyville

A fairly large controlled rangeland burn is planned for this week in Tehama County. Cal-Fire in partnership with the Nature Conservancy will torch 327 acres of grass off of Foothill Road in the Dairyville area. If weather permits, the burning will take place Wednesday from 10AM to 5PM. The goal is to try and control invasive weeds like Medusa Head and Star Thistle, and thus make the land better for cattle grazing.
