3,000 Pounds Of Trash & Debris Removed From Redding Homeless Camps

Redding Police Community Work Program Officers have been clearing a lot of illegal campsites around town. With the manpower of the Shasta County Alternative Custody Program, 3,000 Pounds of material has been discarded in the last two weeks from areas including the Eastside Road area at the ACID Canal and the Olney Creek Bridge, South Market Street, North Court at the Community Gardens and more. So far this year around 530,000 pounds of debris has been collected by the program.
