A Corning man was found dead in his burning home last week, according to the Corning Observer. Cal-Fire and supporting agencies were dispatched at 11PM last Tuesday to Dora Avenue east of Columbia Avenue near the south edge of Corning. They found a fully engulfed double wide mobile home. It was too late to attempt a rescue of 38-year-old Perry Wilfred Longtin, who was trapped inside. The home burned completely to the ground. An autopsy will be done to try and determine Longtin’s cause of death.
