40 Acre Fire Burns Several Outbuildings West Of Red Bluff On Tuesday

A fire that started off of Red Bank Road west of Red Bluff Tuesday has been contained. The Red Fire was stopped Tuesday night at 40 acres and also burned several outbuildings and fences. A fire off Rancho Tehama Road, the Stagecoach Fire, was contained at around 5 acres.

Cal-Fire will be burning starting Wednesday night alongside Highway 36 in Tehama County east of Red Bluff. Weather permitting, through Friday, crews will burn a little over a hundred acres along Highway 36 east from Stice Road to Sevenmile Creek and from Supan Gulch to the Paynes Creek Bridge. The project will mostly be done at night between 6PM and 4AM.

Another control burn starting Wednesday will blacken nearly 300 acres of rangeland. As weather allows, 287 acres will be torched at the Dye Creek Preserve off Foothill Drive in the Dairyville area.
