The 45th annual Palo Cedro Honey Bee Festival is this weekend at the Bishop Quinn Community Center. The Honey Bee Festival is the largest attended craft fair in Shasta County each fall, with an average visitor count of 6-8,000. It features a number of presentations including a pancake breakfast both days, an antique tractor and engine parade, a bee costume parade, a bee beard demonstration, live music, food, and of course the honey bee queen. Proceeds benefit the Palo Cedro Community Park, and have helped build and maintain various park projects, including the fence, gate, water, trails, and playground. The opening ceremony for the Honey Bee Festival will be at 8:30AM both Saturday and Sunday.
