For Shasta County Supervisor District 3, Corkey Harmon is leading incumbent Mary Rickert by 60% to 40%.
There are two separate races for Redding City Council.
–In the race for two four year terms, Paul Dhanuka and Mike Littau are in the lead, followed by Joshua Johnson. Dave Backues and Ian Hill are trailing.
–In the race for the partial term vacated by Michael Dacquisto, Erin Resner leads Mark Mezzano by 47% to 44%.
There are four people vying for three available seats on the Anderson City Council, and that race is too close to call. Currently Susie Baugh is trailing behind Darin Hale. Bonnie Simmons is 3rd and in 4th place is Stan Neutze.
For the 3 seats on the Shasta Lake City Council, the leaders are Daniel Ringwelski and Greg Watkins, with the third place a close race between Toni Coats and Janice Powell. Dolores Lucero and Tena Eisenbeisz are trailing.
In the various Shasta County Board of Education races…
— Teresa Roberts leads with 67% over 34% for Cindy Vogt.
— Jackie LaBarbera and Jessica French may take the two seats with 24% and 19% respectively, though Richard Gallardo has nearly 19%. They’re followed by Don Aust, Amy Cavalleri and Dolores Lucero.
— Michael Orlicky leads Michelle Renaa Tyson by 52% to 48%.
There are two ballot measures as part of building the Shasta County Charter,
— Measure Q would allow the Board of Supervisors to replace department head vacancies with either an appointment or a special election. It’s failing by 57%
— Measure P would prohibit the3 county from taking private property by eminent domain if it’s to be given to another private owner. It currently shows 51% in favor.
Most of the school bond measures in Shasta County are in the lead, except H, the Community College Bond; L, the Bella Vista measure has not yet reported.
