A test will be done Thursday evening for a public crisis alert device. Called “Alert FM”, it receives notifications during emergencies. The devices can be acquired by having any one of a number of criteria, and they can be picked up at the Burney or Shasta Lake City Sheriff’s Stations or by appointment from the Office of Emergency Services by calling 245-6000. A test will run at 7:30PM Thursday evening and every Thursday evening this month.
