Apparently some people will steal anything they can carry. At around 10:30 Wednesday night Redding Police got a report of a suspicious vehicle at Kohl’s on Browning Street. Officers arrived to find what they described as an “extremely nervous” 53-year-old Steven Gerald Quinn of Redding, who abruptly tried to close the side door of his van when he saw the police. An officer noticed that a nearby retaining wall was partly dismantled and missing a row of blocks, and he could see the same kind of blocks in the van. They also reported finding an assault weapon with several loaded magazines. Quinn was booked into jail and later released.
