All over the country Millions of people will lock their doors, turn on their porch lights, and go outside to meet their neighbors Tuesday night. The Cities of Anderson and Red Bluff will both hold their National Night Out events Tuesday. Neighborhoods are encouraged to hold block parties, and they’ll also have organized events taking place. There are no set times for block parties, but the events generally run from around 6 or 6:30PM until around 9 O’clock. Anderson Police will host a party at Anderson River Park from 5PM to 9PM. They’ll hand out APD souvenirs, and give K9 demos, and food trucks will be on site. Block party hosts in Anderson can get help from Officer Mason Eppley at 917-4524. In Red Bluff, an event will be held at the Red Bluff City park from 5PM to 7PM, with several Tehama County law enforcement agencies represented. The City of Redding opts to celebrate National Night Out in October when it’s a little cooler outside.
