Anderson Tax Cheat Bound For Federal Prison

A 54-year-old Anderson woman is going to federal prison for cheating on her taxes. In the years 2013 to 2016, Deborah Gwen Orrey lied on her IRS tax returns concerning education credits, medical expenses and business expenses. She owed a total of more than $112,000 to the IRS. As the owner of Affordable Tax, Bankruptcy and Bookkeeping, Orrey also cheated on her clients returns without their knowledge and stole portions of their refunds for a total of around $3,700. She’s been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison and must pay back all the money.
