A party for kids will be hosted by First Five Shasta this Saturday at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The annual “Champions for Children” is free and fun for the entire family, according to organizers. There will be lots of entertainment and hands-on activities for young children. For parents there will be information about resources and support available to help young children develop into smart, healthy and well-adjusted adults. There’s a bonus at this year’s event- a chance to sign up young children for “Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library”, a program for kids under 5 that sends them a different new, high quality, age-appropriate book every single month. The event is 10AM to 2PM Saturday (9/6) at Turtle Bay, with free admission for kids 12 and under and $2 for everyone else.
