An alleged Copper thief was caught by sheriff’s deputies in the Anderson area early Thursday morning. At 2:23AM a security company reported that somebody in a white pickup was trying to steal things at a construction yard on Locust Road. When deputies arrived nobody was there but they were re-contacted at 4:32AM after the pickup returned. Deputies spotted a white truck on Main Street in Cottonwood and stopped it. In the bed was a lot of Copper wire, apparently from the crime scene. The driver, 44-year-old Justin Roy Jones, allegedly admitted to the theft and he was booked into jail.
