Anderson Police say a hit-and-run crash was easy to track because the car left a trail. At 7:10PM Monday evening a Honda Accord smashed hard into a parked car on Pinon Avenue. The impact was enough to push the car across two yards until it collided with a home’s carport and a car that was parked there. A trail of fluid led to the Honda where it was abandoned with major front end damage at Volonte Park. 33-year-old Mark Harrington was found walking away from the area. Officers learned that he was the registered owner of the Honda, determined he had been driving, and tested him for alcohol. He allegedly had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. After being cleared at a hospital, Harrington was booked into jail for DUI and hit-and-run.
