APD: K9 Sniffs Out Drugs, Driver Arrested With 13 Guns

A man from Idaho was arrested after loitering in the wrong Anderson parking lot. At 11 O’clock Wednesday night an Anderson Police Officer on patrol drove into the Tractor Supply parking lot because of recent overnight thefts. He found a vehicle with two people sitting inside. The driver was 57-year-old Todd Myers of Idaho and the passenger had a misdemeanor warrant. Rip the K9 was brought to the scene and he indicated the presence of drugs so the vehicle was searched. Officers reported finding a Methamphetamine pipe and 13 guns, two of them loaded. During questioning Myers reportedly admitted to being addicted to drugs, leading to an additional charge of possession of a gun by a drug addict, in addition to having a loaded gun in a vehicle. He was booked into jail.
