Five people were arrested last week when Anderson Police raided two houses where they suspected drug dealing was going on. The Problem Oriented Policing Unit and detectives were assisted by probation officers as they served search warrants at two houses on Balls Ferry Road. Officers reported finding a total of almost 8 Ounces of Methamphetamine, more than 2 Ounces of Fentanyl, 28 fake prescription pills containing Fentanyl, more than 4.5 Grams of Heroin, a stolen gun and an unregistered ghost gun. Matthew Simpson and Scott Reed were charged with sales, while three others were arrested for possession and warrants.
