APD Makes 6 Arrests During Prostitution Sting

Anderson Police and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office did a sting operation on Friday targeting potential customers of prostitution. Ads were placed on prostitution websites and a room was set up at an Anderson hotel. Within 24 hours, 60 people took the bait and answered the ad. Only six of them actually made appointments, and they were arrested, including one who reportedly arranged specifically to pay for sex with a minor. He was identified by the sheriff’s office as 23-year-old Ryan Michael McKibben.
