A special Saint Patrick’s Day sobriety checkpoint will be set up somewhere in Anderson City Limits Monday night. Anderson Police will screen for impaired drivers and for valid drivers licenses at the checkpoint, which they say will take place between 6PM and 3AM. The exact location is not disclosed, but it’’ll be somewhere with a history of DUI collisions and arrests. Officers will be looking for signs of impairment from alcohol, as well as drugs. That includes illegal narcotics as well as legal drugs such as pharmaceuticals and Cannabis.
