Arraignment For Triple Murder Suspect Continued Until Tuesday

A Redding man accused in a triple murder will be arraigned Tuesday. 33-year-old Michael Todd Merryman is accused of killing 75-year-old Pamela Castleberry after robbing her home in Lakehead. She was found dead in her stolen car near Bella Vista. A week later the badly burned bodies of 41-year-old Cynthia Duran and 48-year-old Louis Sanchez were found in the same area, apparently murdered after the discovery of Castleberry. Merryman was identified as a person of interest as evidence was collected linking him to all three murders. He was arrested after being hospitalized following a crash in the Oak Run area. His arraignment, set for Friday, was continued to Tuesday. Merryman is facing 3 counts of murder with special circumstances, 2 counts of burglary, arson and theft of a dog. He’s being held without bail.
