The dream has gone sour for Redding’s 23-year-old public/private sports park partnership. Big League Dreams was built in 2001 and has been operating under a lease agreement. City officials say the company failed to make improvements that had been contractually agreed upon, so a process has begun to close the facility and possibly terminate the contract. A special meeting of the city council will be scheduled to discuss options publicly.
