Cal-Trans and its contractors are launching a major rehab project on Interstate Five from Lake Shasta northward. The project includes 13 miles of pavement rehabilitation from the Pit River Bridge to just south of the Dog Creek Bridge. They will also replace signage and extend fiber-optic capability from Antlers Summit to Sacramento Hill, as well as replace over 800 feet of concrete barrier. The $37 Million project is expected to include 155 work days and will be completed in the Fall. Nightly lane closures can be expected Sunday through Thursday nights.
