A car hit a power pole in Happy Valley overnight, knocking out electricity to 139 PG&E customers, who remain in the dark Tuesday morning. The pole was sheared off at around 11:30PM Monday night and a crew is working on repairs. The driver had apparently swerved to try and miss an animal on Happy Valley Road near Hawthorne Avenue. He still hit the animal, then the power pole, and when CHP Officers got there he was running around trying to catch his dog.
