The members of the Shasta County Pearl Harbor Survivors Association have all passed on, but their sons and daughters still gather to remember them each December 7th. The ceremony takes place at the memorial in front of the Courthouse and County Administrative Building. The day that will live in infamy is marked with a moment of silence at 9:55AM, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. Those who attend may the make remarks on the open microphone.
