A proposal by Shasta County Supervisor Kevin Crye that would change Shasta County’s government structure from a General Law County to a Charter County will likely be placed on the March ballot. It’s focused on a single provision, which would allow supervisors to appoint a replacement if a vacancy opens on the board. The March ballot will also ask District One voters if Kevin Crye should be recalled. The vote in favor by the board was 3 to 2.
