The CHP has reported the second of two large seizures of cash over the weekend. The first was Saturday in Redding, when an undisclosed large quantity of money was seized and the driver was jailed. On Sunday the Red Bluff Area CHP responded to a two-vehicle crash. Damage to one of the vehicles exposed several heat-sealed bags of cash in a door panel. It totaled more than $173,000. In both cases there was apparently no contraband found- just the money.
