A man died when his own car ran over him in Eastern Shasta County. At around 2PM Monday afternoon the 91-year-old man was working on his Ford Taurus in his driveway in the McArthur area off Highway 299 west of Pittville Road. He was outside the car when it started moving forward for an unknown reason. He went around to the front of the car to try and stop it but it knocked him to the ground and ran over him, causing fatal injuries.
