One driver was killed and one was arrested after a three vehicle crash in Tehama County Tuesday afternoon. Shortly before 2 O’clock 43-year-old Andre Tucker of Chico was driving a Ford Expedition southbound on Highway 99 south of Tehama-Vina Road at high speed when he lost control and crossed into the northbound lane. The big SUV struck a Honda Accord driven by 56-year-old Mima Rodriguez of Gerber, then smashed head-on into a Toyota Prius driven by a 22-year-old Chico woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez and Tucker sustained minor injuries. The CHP says alcohol and/or drugs are suspected and Tucker was booked into jail. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash can call the CHP at 737-6746.
