CHP Says San Diego Man Had Kilo of Cocaine

A big drug bust was done by Shasta County law enforcement on Interstate Five Tuesday morning. A northbound car was stopped by the CHP for a violation in the Lakehead area. The driver was 38-year-old Jose Antonio Meza-Capoeman of San Diego. The CHP officer had his K9 sniff around and the dog signaled the presence of drugs, so a search was done. Meza-Capoeman reportedly had two small bags in his pockets, one with cocaine and the other with methamphetamine. Officers reported finding 2.3 pounds of cocaine hidden in the car. SINTF drug agents were called to take over the investigation, and Meza-Capoeman was booked into jail on $100,000 bail.
