Siskiyou County authorities were searching Thursday for an armed man, after a crime spree that apparently started with the theft of a pickup truck in Redding. The stolen red Ford F-350 came north on Interstate 5 and stopped in Lake Shastina, where three men started breaking into vehicles. A concerned witness confronted them, but backed off when one of the men brandished a gun. The three men then got back in the pickup and headed north on Highway 97. CHP Officers caught up and chased the truck into the small Town of Dorris, where it crashed at First and Butte Streets. The three occupants ran away. The CHP apprehended one of them immediately and another after a search, but the other one apparently remains at large. He’s described as a Hispanic man wearing a dark hoodie.
