A motorcyclist died in a crash on Interstate 5 in North Redding over the weekend. At 7:30PM Saturday evening, the 35-year-old Redding man was on a 2023 Harley Davidson on Northbound I-5 just south of the Oasis Road Overcrossing. The CHP says he was splitting lanes, riding between the fast lane and the middle lane at around 90 miles an hour when he rear-ended a Toyota Corolla traveling at 67 miles an hour, driven by a 54-year-old woman from Sunnyside, Washington. The rider was ejected and died at the scene. The Toyota driver was not injured.
