CHP: Three Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Hornbrook

Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash a couple of miles east of Interstate 5 near Hornbrook in Siskiyou County on Friday. At 12:24PM in the afternoon a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 was westbound on a sweeping curve on Copco Road east of Salmon Street when the driver allowed the pickup to drift over the center line. It collided head-on with a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica carrying 6 people, including 4 young children. The as-yet-unnamed male drivers of both vehicles died, as well as the female front-seat passenger in the Pacifica. An 8-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy suffered major injuries, while two other girls, aged 1 and 3, sustained minor injuries. No identities have been released, though the CHP says the children are from Montague. Everybody was wearing seatbelts.
