A man with multiple medical issues who got lost in Redding was found by the Redding Police Crisis Intervention Response Team. The 53-year-old man lives with his sister on Redwood Boulevard. She called police on Wednesday saying he had been gone for 24 hours without his medication. He called her on his cell phone asking for help but did not know where he was and could not get to his feet. Officer Joanna Bland worked with the cell phone provider and found the victim on the north bank of the Sacramento River near the North Market Street Bridge lying on his back in Star Thistles and Blackberry Bushes. Redding Fire Department helped in the rescue and the man was taken to a hospital, where he’s expected to recover.
